Hi, my name is Elizabeth Frances Woodson and I have been privileged to birth the most wonderful child on the planet. Her spirit ignites a humming inside me filled with beauty and grace leaving me weightless. I remember going to church with my cousin Miah and dreaming of the day I would become a mother. Though, things have not gone to plan; they are evidence of God's glory and I am grateful.Â

Born October 23rd to a homeless twenty seven year old, Sofia chose to be a dinosaur over a dragon. She stayed in love and spread her God's light with all friends, families and allies. She is hope to her mother; allowing her mother to overcome fears and stay rooted. From her birth we are blessed.

You've just sho easily have become my favorite person in the world, and there are people on this Earth that cure disease, discover new ways to worship God and plant gardens filled with my favorite flowers. None of them Sofia, have manage to do what you have don't in your two years on Earth.

Cure me of my worries simply with a smile; make me feel a part of something greater than myself; put a drive inside me to autocorrect the things that could cause worry and overall make me a better person effortlessly and without pain.Â

Fila, you are so effortlessly wonderful, so playful, so filled to the brim with light that I know you are the evidence of fair fights and hard work because I can confidently say I have been awarded you.Â

Dear Mommy,

I'm so happy to call you mine, and I know I have made a good choice asking you to be my mommy from heaven. The beauty I have been allowed, because of your grace and power. I love you so much.

You have allowed for so much creativity and learning in my life, where I know I have a voice that matters in the community. Where I can stand confidently for the things, policies, issues, movements that I believe in and know that you may have a different opinion than mine, but more than not you are in my corner supporting me.Â

I thank God everyday for your stability. That I have a mother that doesn't drink or indulge in devilish activities, who supports me financially and invests in my dreams. I model myself completely after you when it comes to Sofia. If I can make it to your table as a mother, I know I gave my all and that even in times when she wishes to be alone, she will find her way back to me.
